To the Anxious Soul

These words might not be able to heal you, but perhaps for just a moment, they might serve as a temporary balm.

Anxiety
An interesting, tricky thing.
Much like the spiraling of a staircase.
Just as dizzying and disorienting,
With neither top, nor bottom fully in sight.
So you feel stuck.
In a seemingly endless circle.
Which no one can reach down and pull you out of.
But if you’re lucky,
you’ll find the one’s
who will walk in circles beside you.
Steady hands to hold as you find your way back out.
…………………………………………………………………………………….

To tell you the truth, I never quite fancied myself a writer.
But I have always fancied myself to be a ‘feeler’.
And in the midst of deep feeling, I’ve found that the words often write themselves.

Maybe not perfectly, but seemingly quite intentionally.

So welcome to the space where I share feelings that look like words.

And if they make you feel something too — seen, heard, understood, relieved, released…then that’s enough for me.

All the love,
From one sometimes (lately often) anxious soul,

To yours.
