A Lesson from the Moon

Honor your many & ever changing phases.

And is The Moon
Any less whole,
Simply for the days
In which The World
Cannot perceive
Her Fullness?

You are whole — regardless of how much of yourself is tucked behind the shadows some days, some months, some years.

Be wary of the people who would love to sell you the lie that you are less than or lacking, when it may very well be their own blind spots rendering them incapable of seeing just how complete you truly are.

You do not owe anyone the same version of yourself every single day. And you certainly do not owe anyone ALL of yourself every single day.

You are allowed your phases. You are still whole within every ebb & flow of your own life.

And don’t let this world trick you into pouring your pennies into solutions that promise to fill holes in you that might not actually be there.

The self help books are wonderful. The healing programs are great. They have their place. But don’t forget to spend more time living your life than you do planning out the ways you might live it better. Planning out ways in which you might become better (especially if ‘better’ really only means ‘wealthier’ or ‘popular’).

Remember — the best lessons are learned through living.

Just something I’ve been reflecting on as my 26th year on this Earth comes to an end. I hope these words find you when you need them most.

All my love,
Liz Fair
